Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
CritterCue is built privacy-first. The short version: the app keeps your data on your device and does not collect, transmit, or sell any of it. The longer version is below.
The app
CritterCue is a local-first application. Everything you enter (your pets, their photos, care tasks, schedules, reminders, and history) is stored only in the app's private storage on your device.
- There are no accounts and no login.
- We do not operate a server that receives your data, and the app does not send your data to us or to any third party.
- We include no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no in-app analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- Reminders are delivered through your device's own notification system (Apple's notifications). Scheduling happens locally on the device.
- Pet photos you add are read from your photo library only with your permission and are stored locally for use in the app.
Because your data lives on your device, deleting the app removes that data. We have no copy of it and cannot recover it for you, so use the app's own export/backup feature if you want a copy you control.
The website
This website (crittercue.app) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that helps us understand aggregate traffic (such as page views and referrers). It is cookieless and does not use fingerprinting or track you across sites or over time. It does not collect any personally identifiable information. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and Cloudflare processes standard server request data (such as IP address) to deliver and secure the site; see Cloudflare's privacy documentation for details.
Children's privacy
CritterCue is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. Since the app collects no personal information, it does not knowingly collect information from children.
Future changes (sync & sharing)
A future version of CritterCue may add optional cloud sync and household sharing. Those features would involve sending data you choose to a server so it can be shared across your devices or with people you invite. They will be opt-in, and this policy will be updated to describe exactly what is collected before any such feature ships. The current app does none of this.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and post the new version here. Material changes will be reflected in the app or its store listing where appropriate.
